******FEW SPOILERS******
Before I start. I really enjoyed Iron Man 3 I didn’t love it and it wasn’t better than the Avengers but IM3 is just good ole’ mindless fun. But were it falls short is its many plot points that don’t really get any answers to. Also many unnecessary things that happens in the movie that just makes you wonder why in the world is this even in here. THEN the biggest plot twist in the movie turns out to be the reason why this just made me very upset and I almost hated it if it weren’t for the amazing plane and action scenes.
Although this wasn’t amazing, it is a step up from Iron Man 2 (which I actually liked) but I don’t feel that either 3 or 2 have topped Iron Man 1. Iron Man 1 was a really solid and refreshing movie to watch. It all flowed and IM3 just didn’t do it for me. Some parts of the movie just made me feel so lost. What really through me was the main villian. An actor playing as the Mandarin? Really??? After the greatness of the Avengers I can’t belive that this was thrown in our face.
A few good things I did like though, were Pepper Potts finally doing something than besides making that “I’m worried” look and the action scenes specifically the plane scene. In the last 20 minutes or so, Pepper drops into this pit of fire because Tony couldn’t save her and is assumed dead, but she emerges and demolishes the Mandarin. She didn’t look to bad fighting either, much better than Anne Hathaway as catwoman who looked stiffer than a board trying to fight.
My second favorite moment was when Tony has to save 11 or 13 (i forget) people falling from the plane and he can only carry four. Just the visuals were spectacular to watch and for those 7 odd minutes or so I was finally drawn back into this world. Only to have it shattered when it comes to find out that he actually wasn’t even in the suit. But still the scene was great to watch as he made a human chain in the sky. And the humor was dead on. I think they focused to much on that than a decent story.
Overall, if your looking for something on the level of the avengers storywise, your not looking for Iron Man 3. Wait until Thor 2 comes out and we’ll see. But IM3 was sort of a let down but I felt was neccessary film to make because we needed to see how Tony Stark lives on after the Avengers. But storyline wise, it’s all over the place and never really draws me in and keeps my full attention, only 65% of it. A real winner to me though was Pepper. I’m all for female heroism so she kind of kept me mildly interested and the visual effects as well. IM3 underwelms but is a great action movie.

When I first heard about this book being made into a movie, I knew it was destined to be another book turned movie that everyone would see and make it the new “cool” thing to quote from. And I was right. So after seeing everyone posting about it, quoting from it, I knew I didn’t want to see it or read it so I wouldn’t join the “movement.” But after going through my daily blogs to check I ran across a quote that peaked my interest and decided to finally download it, watched it, then watched it again. The story is really well put together. The actors were chosen accurately, although I’d like to see Emma Watson’s character played by someone else, I can’t quite put my finger on who but I just see someone with darker hair as her character. I think what really was the hook for me in this movie was some of the thoughts Logan Lerman’s character were similar to mine when I was a freshman. After watching this movie, this has just reassured my thoughts that Indie films are still one of the best types of movies.

*A few spoilers*
I just knew from the previews this was going to be good. But had doubts after it started with another action scene just like Quantum of Solace, which to me wasn’t all that bad but got horrible reviews. Twenty minutes after the big opening scene though it started to build more of a story and I was completely drawn in. Naomi Harris as Bond’s, so called “help”, was a great pick to play the part. At first I was a little worried that Javier Bardem was going to play some blonde haired villian, but was proven completely WRONG. Berenice Marlohe’s character was completely unnecessary to me. Judi Dench is always great at play M. By the end of the movie when their in Scottland, was the best scenery I’ve seen in a movie in a long time. Overall Skyfall is right in the category for best top 3 movies of the year. DEFINITE must see if your not planning to.

Series: The Mindy Project
Year: 2012
If you were like me and saw the previews for this, you changed the channel everytime it came on because you thought it would be like everything else on TV. But I was looking through the new look of updated iOS 6 for Apple products and saw they had this show as a free download. So with nothing else to do on a thursday night I downloaded it. And I will inform you that I will be watching it every week. Completely unexpected funny. But then I thought it is the girl from the office and she is hilarious. So give the show a chance. You’ll like it. The only thing I don’t like from the pilot is her coworker (doctor to the right) don’t quite yet get their relationship. But then again it is only the pilot.
Seeing the previews for this just reminded me of movies that had already been made, an all star cast who in the end all somehow know each other, (New Years Eve, Valentine’s Day) and this movie was exactly like that. A little on the predictable side, but there are funny moments. It even gets a little sad at the end. But overall I think some better actors could have been chosen.

This movie was worth the waited. I’m glad that it actually met the hype that it build up. I’m glad that Christian Bale’s voice wasn’t as deep and “ventalated” as in was in the dark knight. Not sure why Bane’s voice was so cartoonish but it was good non-the-less. Anne Hathaway as Catwoman took the cake for me. I’m sure everyone can agree she’s still not “sexy” but a very very good actress. For me anyway this IS the best movie of the year.

This definately made my list as one of the best movies of 2011. From the storyline to the action. This film just continued to make the Fast & Furious franchise one of the most successful movie franchises there is. The movie takes place right were Fast & Furious left off. Dominic Toretto (Vin Disel) is being taken to prison but gets help escaping with his sister Mia Toretto(Jordana Brewster) and Brian O’ Connor (Paul Walker) which leads them to leave the country and head to South America. I won’t tell the whole story but by the end I just wanted to watch it all over again.

Just from the previews for this movie, I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to pay money to see it. But it was avaliable as a download on one of my daily sites so I downloaded it. Watched it. And I want to watch it again. It completely surprised me with the story line and characters. Will Smith looks entirely too old but you forget that by the end of the movie. Josh Brolin did a great job impersonating Tommy Lee Jones. I didn’t really see the point of Nicole Scherzinger in it, but she looked pretty good. For a movie with time travel in it; it was pretty good. The aliens looked gross as usual. But all in all I definately say check it out. Also the song Pitbull made for the movie is pretty catchy.
Out of all of the Oceans’ movies, Oceans 12 is probably my favorite one. From all of the scenery which is amazing, to the quick whitty humor of the entire cast and how they play together, 12 is the best one for me. I like Catherine Zeta Jones character and how she is involved in the story. Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) looked the part as the infamous Nightfox. The part with julia roberts at the museum is one of my favorites. The storyline was very very well thought out. Really good acting. If you haven’t seen this movie, inbox me and I will send you a link or just email you the entire movie.

Most guys even girls didn’t see this movie becuase they thought it was a major chick flick. And it is. But I PROMISE. This is thee FUNNIEST movie I’ve seen years. Literally years. All of the acting from everyone was really good. Kristen Wiig is the most comedic female ever. The only problem, which is a very small problem, is that its way to long. Comedy’s or (drama-ties) should never be more than an hour and thirty minutes long. Besides that I couldn’t find anything wrong with this movie. Just watch it.

This is my favorite movie. Mostly because Angelina Jolie is in it. The action is perfect, the movie didn’t really require much acting but it was very believiable. Vince Vaghn who isn’t in the movie as much is hilarious in the few scenes he is in. Also I liked the ending to this movie. It kept my full attention throughout the entireity of the movie. Other reviews may label it as “cheesy” or just “plain” with dry comedy, but to me this movie is everything.

***P.S.*** 20th Century Fox is trying to remake this with two spys who are forced to live together. Not happy about the idea. Is nothing sacred?
The Avengers was very fun to watch; Two problems though.
1. The movie is entirely WAY to long. The movie could have been summed up in one hour and thirty minutes.
2. Not enough action. There was too much dialouge. It was good dialouge, just too much.
From the previews, I was expecting non-stop action. I thought there would be too much action and not enough dialouge, but it was the opposite way around. But a great movie non the less.

***P.S. They showed the new Batman The Dark Knight Rises preview****
If you haven’t seen this, or just didn’t Mission Impossible 1, 2, or 3, then Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol will change your mind. Too bad it isn’t in the IMAX anymore because it was the best experience for watching the movie. Tom Cruise did his usual while Paula Patton impressed. Although I would have like to have seen Zoe Saldana, Paula Patton showed she can do action movies as well. Some might disagree but she did pretty good to me. Overall I gave the movie a solid A-

Great spin on the horror movie genre. I like that this wasn’t the typical “dice and slice” horror movie, but…it was just different. I mean it was a good, but awkward. The only main star in the movie was the dude from Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and he does NOT look like a college student, so I just couldn’t get past that part, but the other characters did there jobs ok. There are alot of jumping moments and plenty of blood so if that’s what you look for in a horror movie, one a scale of 1 - 10, (10 being eye gouging gory) the movie is a solid 8, some chick gets her head cut off so… The other thing i didn’t like was the ending. But besides that all in all it was an ok movie.
